The 2026 Tourism Committee has officially launched, bringing together a group of industry professionals committed to supporting the growth and development of Oman’s tourism sector.

Hosted at the Sheraton Oman Hotel, the inaugural meeting marked the beginning of a collaborative platform focused on alignment, engagement, and forward planning.

The committee will work closely with key stakeholders to support initiatives that strengthen Oman’s tourism offering.

At our recent panel discussion, “Building a Cross-Generational Workforce,” we heard directly from three generations in the workplace.

Between the perspectives shared by our panelists and the views from the audience, the message was clear—across all generations, people want the same thing: to be understood, respected, and listened to.

A big thank you to our HR Community Sponsor, Takaful Oman Insurance S.A.O.G, our panelists, and everyone who joined us for such an open and honest discussion.

AmChams from across the GCC came together to host a dynamic online speed networking session, bringing professionals and businesses into one virtual space to exchange ideas, spark conversations, and build new relationships.

From meaningful introductions to potential collaborations, it was inspiring to see the strength of our regional network in action—even in a virtual setting.

The discussion focused on practical lessons around structuring, risk allocation, and implementation.

In partnership with the U.S. Department of Agriculture (USDA), we brought together AmCham Oman members and a visiting delegation of U.S. companies for a relaxed evening of networking, American flavors, and new connections.

Special thanks to U.S. Ambassador Ana Escrogima for joining us and for her continued support of the U.S.–Oman business community.

Set in a relaxed outdoor setting, the event marked AmCham Oman’s first networking gathering of the year and provided an ideal platform for professionals to reconnect after the winter holidays, exchange ideas, and establish new business relationships.

Thank you to Dolphin Village for sponsoring and hosting us.

AmCham Oman (formerly OABC) hosted a successful Community Beach Cleanup at Athaiba Beach, bringing together more than 80 volunteers from member companies, families, and friends. In just one hour, participants collected 80 bags of waste, helping to clean up a section of one of Muscat’s most popular beaches.

The event, proudly sponsored by Europcar Oman, was part of AmCham Oman’s ongoing commitment to sustainability and community engagement, reinforcing the organization’s focus on creating meaningful connections and positive impact beyond typical business networking.

AmCham Oman (formerly the Oman American Business Council) successfully hosted an in-depth session on Employment in Oman, presented by Sabrina Saxena, Partner – Employment at Al Tamimi & Company, at the Radisson Panorama Hotel.

The session drew a strong turnout from AmCham Oman members, HR professionals, legal advisors, and business leaders eager to gain clarity on the latest developments in Oman’s employment regulations and the Social Protection Law.

Against the backdrop of new employment regulations being introduced, the presentation offered timely and practical insights into key areas affecting employers and employees alike. Topics included pre-employment and immigration considerations, employment benefits and entitlements, remote working, the Social Protection Fund, new benefits under the Social Protection Law, termination, and post-employment obligations.

Sabrina Saxena, who leads Al Tamimi & Co’s employment law practice in Oman and advises clients across Oman and the UAE, provided expert analysis on how the latest legislative changes impact workforce management, compliance, and HR policy implementation.

The event concluded with a lively Q&A session and networking opportunity, reinforcing AmCham Oman’s role as a leading platform for professional exchange, business insights, and collaboration between the U.S. and Omani business communities.
