Who We Are
Founded in 2003 as the Oman American Business Council, AmCham Oman is an independent, private, not-for-profit business council of companies and individuals doing business in the Sultanate of Oman and the United States. We are the official U.S. Chamber of Commerce affiliate in Oman and part of the global American Chambers of Commerce network.
AmCham Oman operates solely through membership dues and activity fees, with no government funding. Membership is open to all nationalities: companies and businesspeople operating in Oman, from multinational corporations to Oman-based companies and small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs).
Our Mission
Promote commerce, investment, and goodwill between our members, the United States, and Oman.
Provide a networking forum for business executives across both markets.
Raise awareness of Oman's commercial role and expand American trade opportunities.
Support full use of the U.S.–Oman Free Trade Agreement by our members.

Our Committees
Much of AmCham Oman's work happens through member-led committees: Technology & AI, Tourism, SME, and the AmCham HR Community. See the full list and what each one does on our Overview of Our Committees page.
Part of a global network: As the U.S. Chamber of Commerce affiliate in Oman, AmCham Oman connects local members to the wider AmCham network across the region and beyond, and to the resources of the U.S. Chamber itself.
